Non-DOT Urine Specimen Collector Training

Training includes mock collections, scenario training, initial supplies, and a state supplement. We also offer initial online proficiency training without the mock collections and discounts with our all-in-one training bundles.

Non-DOT Urine Collector Training was made by a subject expert and attorney Andrew Easler who created to instill a robust understanding of urine specimen collection procedures outside of collectors, employers, and third-party collection sites, such as, but not limited to, urgent care centers and other healthcare offices that provide non-DOT urine specimen collection, commonly called “collect-only” tests and “QuickScreens,” referred to as “Rapid-Dip Panels” or “Instant Tests.” These techniques are primarily used to detect substance abuse and conduct non-regulated drug testing.

Training includes initial training supplies, a general course, a state-specific supplement, virtual mock collections, and scenario training, which helps learners with the nuances of non-DOT-regulated urine specimen collection, including the complexities and intricacies of common and state-specific drug testing laws.

Learners will gain proficiency in crucial areas, including the collection process, specimen handling procedures, and documentation requirements specific to non-DOT-regulated industries. The insights gained through this course will help collectors navigate various scenarios encountered in Non-DOT urine specimen collection.

The role of a Non-DOT Urine Specimen Collector is vital in maintaining a safe and productive environment across various workplaces, and a qualification from a reputable training provider is crucial in this field, as it communicates high professionalism and proficiency in non-DOT urine specimen collection procedures, and assists with collection practice credibility when defending against lawsuits.

Learners will participate in virtual mock demonstrations (mocks) conducted via webcam and perform dry practical demonstrations in front of an experienced instructor, designed to provide hands-on practice in a controlled, virtual setting, fostering skill refinement before encountering real-world scenarios.

Upon completing the course, learners will be equipped with the necessary skills to become competent non-DOT Urine Specimen Collectors and take part in reducing potential legal risks and ensuring a culture of safety and compliance.

Non-DOT Urine Specimen Collector Training was designed by Andrew Easler, a subject expert in the drug-free workplace field, and will take approximately 4 hours to complete, including mock collections. Training will provide learners with an understanding of the intricacies and processes involved in drug testing, primarily focusing on "collect-only" tests and "QuickScreens," also known as "Rapid-Dip Panels" or "Instant Tests," methods mainly utilized for substance abuse detection and non-regulated drug testing.

Our dedicated research team works relentlessly to ensure that our training and state supplements remain updated with the latest laws and regulations. Participants are provided with the most recent state supplement, ensuring they remain abreast of the continually evolving landscape of drug testing laws.

Given the dynamic nature of state laws, especially concerning marijuana usage, non-DOT collectors must stay diligent about changes. As of 2021, 18 states and the District of Columbia have legalized marijuana for recreational use, while its medical use is legalized in 36 states and four territories. State laws can vary greatly and change frequently, which is why, after initial training, urine collectors should enroll in a supplemental course on drug testing laws annually or whenever laws and regulations alter significantly.

We incorporate many multimedia formats, including videos, documents, and resources, to create a self-paced and effective learning environment. We deliver knowledge about various types of tests, interpret test results, spot substance abuse indicators, and understand non-DOT drug testing requirements in different contexts.

Virtual mock demonstrations (mocks) conducted via webcam and hands-on interactive instructor-led demonstrations provide real-time experience in sample collection and adherence to testing protocols. We also ship initial training supplies directly to your chosen location in the United States.

Upon completing the online test and mock collections, learners can access a downloadable certificate that qualifies them to conduct collections and testing following the appropriate protocols and other valuable skills.
