If you are operating the device for federally regulated employees under the 49 CFR Part 40’s Procedures for Transportation Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing Programs, for example, you are required by federal regulations to receive training specific to the approved device you will be operating.

This training course is designed to comply with device-specific education requirements for both DOT and Non-DOT standards. It does not cover Basic information training for aspiring DOT or Non-DOT Breath Alcohol Technicians (BATs).
