DOT Saliva Alcohol Testing Training for Alco Screen 02

Learners are required to use an Alco-Screen 02 device and ten spare mouthpieces for mock tests. We also offer Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) with an EBT Device for screening and confirmation.

The DOT Screening Test Technician Training (STT) will take about 4 hours to complete which includes mock collections and scenario training designed to provide in-depth knowledge and skills for those seeking to specialize in alcohol screening.

One of the distinctive features of this course is its device-specific approach, meaning it's tailored to provide hands-on, virtual mock demonstrations focused on the Alco-Screen 02 device. These demonstrations ensure learners understand the device's operations, preparing them to conduct tests.

Upon successfully completing the course, students are well-versed in the theory and equipped with the practical expertise required. This enables them to be recognized as DOT-qualified screening test technicians, allowing them to professionally use the Alco-Screen 02 for alcohol screening purposes within the framework of DOT regulations.

DOT Alcohol Screening Test Technicians (STTs) play a pivotal role in the drug and alcohol-free workplace by measuring Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC) for DOT-regulated employees. The Alco-Screen 02 is one of the screening devices approved by the DOT for workplace alcohol testing.
 
This training course complies with the three benchmarks of training required by federal regulation 49 CFR Part 40.213(a-c), including Basic Information Training, Qualification Training, and five Initial Proficiency Demonstrations.

Students learn at their own pace with our comprehensive online training program that uses videos, documents, resources, and PowerPoint presentations. Also included at no extra charge are virtual Mock Demonstrations (Mocks) conducted by webcam. A certificate of completion can be downloaded immediately after passing the online exam.
